Lincoln Forum Scholarship Essay Contest
The Lincoln Forum Scholarship Essay Contest is a contest exclusively for full-time undergraduate students that are already enrolled at an accredited American college or university. The annual competition honors the legacy of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States.

Applicants must submit an original essay, amounting to a minimum of 1,500 and a maximum of 5,000 words. The essay's topic varies each year, but is always pertaining to the life and presidency of Abraham Lincoln. The essay must be typed and include a works-cited page or bibliography. End notes are suggested but not required.

Applicants do not have to be U.S. citizens, but must already be enrolled in college. The eligibility of entrants will be confirmed by the Lincoln Forum prior to the awarding of prizes.

After the judging is completed,three winners will be selected and announced at the Lincoln Forum annual meeting in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Shortly afterwards, the scholarship checks will be sent directly to the winner to be used for any purpose he/she desires.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JULY of each year, and the award amount is usually $500 - $1,500.
