NAFME Copyright Awareness Scholarship

NAFME Copyright Awareness Scholarship
The NAFME Copyright Awareness Scholarship encourages students to contribute creative videos to be used to educate their peers on the importance of intellectual property and copyright law. The award is sponsored by the Music Publishers Association and the National Association for Music Education (NAFME).

Applicants must be legal residents of the United States, and must be currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school in the United States. Students must supply contact of school official so that enrollment can be confirmed.

Via a video format, applicants are required to creatively present their viewpoints on "The Importance of Intellectual Property and Copyright Law". Most of the content should be original, and only .mp4, .m4v, mov, or .wmv formats will be accepted.

A qualified panel of judges will identify the best videos that are well-constructed and clearly and creatively address the topic. Afterwards, three potential winners will be selected and notified by email.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MAY of each year, and the award amount is usually $5,000.
