Negative Population Growth Scholarship Video Contest

Negative Population Growth Scholarship Video Contest
The Negative Population Growth Scholarship Video Contest is a competition for students to create a video using originality and evidence of critical thinking. Sponsored by NPG, a national membership organization devoted to population issues, the contest features a new topic each year of which the videos should be about.

Applicants must be seniors in high school or college freshmen, sophomores or juniors in an undergraduate program at an accredited university. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents, and must be attending a school within the United States, or a school operated overseas by the U.S. government.

The video submissions must be 1-3 minutes long, and must be on a labeled DVD with the person's name, address and telephone number. Entries playable only in CD-ROM formats will not be eligible. Submissions must be 100% original, not made for an employer, and must not materially infringe on other sources or copyrights.

In addition, each entry should be accompanied with a completed application form signed by the applicant. A parent's or guardian's signature is also required if the applicant is under the age of 18. Only one entry is allowed per applicant, and relatives of employees or directors of NPG are not eligible to participate.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JUNE of each year, and the award amount is usually $2,500.
