National Eagle Scout Association Scholarships

National Eagle Scout Association Scholarships
National Eagle Scout Association Scholarships are academic scholarships awarded to Eagle Scouts who are graduating from high school and entering college. There are several types of scholarships offered by National Eagle Scout Association (NESA).

NESA provides  varying amounts of merit-based $3,000 scholarships. In addition, four Mabel and Lawrence S. Cooke scholarships of $20,000 each and one $48,000 scholarship is awarded each year. A new $50,000 NESA STEM Scholarship is now being offered to one applicant who plans to major in a science, technology, engineering, or math field.

Eligible students must be credentialed Eagle Scouts who have attained an SAT score of 1200 or above or an ACT score of at least 28. Students will be evaluated on their Eagle Scout leadership capabilities as well as their participation in activities outside of Eagle Scouts.

NESA began in 1925 to support continuing leadership in the Scouting movement. The scholarship program encourages Eagle Scouts to pursue their higher education goals and provides a competitive award program that not only helps Eagle Scouts attend college but also to continue their leadership roles.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JANUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $3,000 - $50,000.
