The Humana Foundation Scholarship Program

The Humana Foundation Scholarship Program
The Humana Foundation Scholarship Program is specifically for children and dependents of Humana employees who intend to enroll full time at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university. The scholarship is renewable each year.

Students are eligible to apply if they are under 25 years old and their parents have worked either part-time or full-time for Humana for at least three years. Employees can work for Humana in either the U.S. or Puerto Rico. Up to 75 scholarships are awarded each year.

The scholarships are for undergraduate study only and can be used for tuition, room and board, books and fees. Awards are not need-based but based on merit and highly competitive. Winning students may choose any accredited two-year or four-year college.

The Humana Foundation has invested more than $9.5 million to help employees send their children to college since 1991. The Humana Foundation was established in 1981 by Humana, Inc., located in Louisville, Kentucky and one of the largest health benefit companies.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JANUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,500 - $3,000.
