Pratt & Whitney Golden Eagle Award
Pratt & Whitney Golden Eagle Award is available for students who plan to enter careers in aviation, aerospace engineering, aerospace research or engineering technology. Students who are high school seniors and have a grade point average of 3.0 or above may apply.

This scholarship is awarded to one outstanding student per year who has demonstrated academic merit, financial need and the ability to overcome obstacles in order to pursue their career goals.

In addition to the scholarship, the selected student will be offered a summer internship each year throughout college with Pratt & Whitney. A Pratt & Whitney executive will also provide mentoring directly with the student, leading to a job offer after graduation if the student continues to meet all the qualifications.

Pratt & Whitney was established in 1925 in Hartford, Connecticut and is a world leader in designing and manufacturing aircraft engines, industrial gas turbines and space propulsion systems. Their products and technology are behind space launches, the armed forces, solar power and passenger aircraft.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JANUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $20,000.
