Thomas F. Seay Scholarship
The Thomas F. Seay Scholarship is available to students living in Illinois pursuing a career in real estate. Students may attend any U.S. accredited college or university but must attend full-time in order to be eligible and be pursuing a degree with an emphasis in real estate.

This scholarship is one time only and not renewable. It can be used in the junior or senior year of college. In order to be eligible, students must have a grade point average of 3.5 on a 5.0 grade scale and complete 30 hours or more of college before applying.

Students interested in the scholarship may pursue the following areas of concentration: construction, land use planning, mortgage banking, property management, real estate appraisal, and real estate law. Selections for the scholarship will be based on academic performance and financial need.

The scholarship is funded by the Illinois Real Estate Educational Foundation (REEF). Established in 1970, this non-profit organization is devoted to furthering education and supporting the efforts of those in the real estate industry as well as providing opportunities for others to make real estate their career.

Each year the foundation awards scholarships to help further the education of those entering or those seeking additional education in the field of real estate and related areas of study.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in APRIL of each year, and the award amount is usually $2,000.
