American Respiratory Care Foundation Education Recognition Awards
American Respiratory Care Foundation Education Recognition Awards offer several different scholarships for undergraduate students enrolled in a respiratory care education program at an American Medical Association approved college or university.

Available scholarships include the Jimmy A. Young Memorial Education Recognition award for minority students, the Morton B. Duggan, Jr. Memorial Education Recognition Award for students living in Georgia and South Carolina, the NBRC/AMP Robert M. Lawrence, MD Education Recognition Award for students in their third or fourth year of college, and the NBRC/AMP William W. Burgin, MD Education Recognition Award for students in their second year of college.

The scholarships are one-time only and not renewable. They are merit-based with a required grade point average of 3.0. Approved courses of study for scholarships include health and medical sciences, therapy and rehabilitation.

The scholarships are funded by the American Respiratory Care Foundation, a non-profit organization located in Irving, Texas that is dedicated to promoting respiratory health. The organization supports research, education, and philanthropic activities that promote respiratory care of patients.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JUNE of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000 - $2,500.
