AWC Student Scholarships
AWC Student Scholarships are offered to women living in the state of Washington pursuing a degree in journalism. It is sponsored by the Association for Women in Communications Seattle Professional Chapter.

The scholarships are for female students in their junior or senior year of college or graduate students who are enrolled in a communications program at a four-year college or university. Acceptable fields of student include advertising, film, graphic design, journalism, marketing, multimedia design, photography, public relations, technical communications, and television and radio production.

Students must have financial need and scholastic achievement. Work samples that demonstrate the student's communication skills in their field of study are required. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, female and residing and studying in the state of Washington.

The Association for Women in Communications Seattle Professional Chapter was founded in 1909 and is a member-based non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the role of women in all communication fields. Scholarships and other awards recognize the achievements of women in the communications industry.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MARCH of each year, and the award amount is usually $3,000.
