CSCHE Chemical Engineering Local Section Scholarships


CSCHE Chemical Engineering Local Section Scholarships offers two scholarships annually to undergraduate students in chemical engineering at a Canadian university. College students in their senior year may apply; the scholarship is for use in the senior year only.

Eligible students must be student members of Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering. They must be enrolled in a college or university in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, or Saskatchewan. Both U.S. and non-U.S. citizens may apply.

Students must be active in student chapters of the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering and demonstrate leadership qualities as well as academic achievement. They must be pursuing a career in chemical engineering. Two letters of reference are required with the application.

The scholarships are funded by proceeds from Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering (CSCGE) conferences. CSCHE is a national, non-profit, technical association for chemical engineers. Through membership, they support professional growth and education for engineering professionals who work in industry, academia, and government. In addition, the organization works with government officials to secure funding for research.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in APRIL of each year, and the award amount is usually $2,000.
