San Diego Foundation Community Scholarship Program

San Diego Foundation Community Scholarship Program
San Diego Foundation Community Scholarship Program offers scholarships for students living in San Diego county and includes high school seniors attending college for the first time, undergraduates in college, graduate students, and adults re-entering college.

Eligible applicants may attend a two-year or four-year college or university, a technical school, graduate school, or an institution that offers teaching credential programs. Scholarships cover the costs for tuition, room and board, books, fees and other college expenses. The scholarships vary regarding required grade point averages, fields of study, minority groups, and financial need.

Students may complete a Common Scholarship Application online. Once completed, the program will notify students which scholarships they are eligible for. There are over 100 scholarships available to choose from.

The scholarships are sponsored by the San Diego Community Foundation, formed in 1975 as a non-profit, charitable organization serving the needs of San Diego residents. The scholarship program was created in 1997. Since 1997, $15 million in scholarships have been awarded.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JANUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $500 - $5,000.
