Samsung High School Student Scholarship Program
The scholarship is open to high school students residing in the U.S. Sponsorship by a high school teacher is required. Essays will be judged on ability to express clearly in writing, original content, and cohesive thought process in relating how technology will change how we learn in the future.
The scholarship is sponsored by Samsung Digital Presenters, the technical production unit responsible for equipment for digital presentation, images and movies. Samsung is also a world leader in the production of televisions, home appliances, laptops, smart phones, and cameras. The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage creativity in the minds of students.
Other Samsung programs include Hope for Children which raises funds to help children in the areas of health and education, and Solve for Tomorrow, a program which donates technology to schools across the nation to improve efficiency in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MAY of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000.
