RBC Students Leading Change Scholarships

RBC Students Leading Change Scholarships

RBC Students Leading Change Scholarships are open to Canadian high school seniors who will be attending a Canadian college or university full-time. Students receive a scholarship plus an all expense international trip as part or RBC's Free the Children program.

RBC Bank offers the scholarship in partnership with Free the Children, a non-profit organization that has developed a holistic approach to ending poverty in international countries such as India, China, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Haiti, Ghana and Kenya. The program uses an adopt-a-village approach to providing not only education and schools but self-sufficiency by ensuring the villages have clean water, medical supplies and an economic system to sustain themselves.

The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage Canadian students to become involved and make a difference in the world. Each scholarship includes a lump sum scholarship payment and a Me to We Trip in the summer to Kenya, including round trip airfare, transportation, and meals. The trip includes security personnel and security system.

RBC Bank was established in 1864 and is a leading North America financial services organization providing banking, wealth management and other financial services for global customers. They are a national sponsor of the Free The Children youth movement in Canada.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in AUGUST of each year, and the award amount is usually $10,000.
