Isabel Sanford Los Angeles Scholarship

Isabel Sanford Los Angeles Scholarship

Isabel Sanford Los Angeles Scholarship is awarded each year to a minority student enrolled in the Emerson College Los Angeles Center and studying the performing or technical arts. It is open to students receiving financial assistance.

The Emerson College Los Angeles program sends students from the Boston campus to California to participate in classes where they can work with professionals in the entertainment industry. The scholarship was formed in 2004 in honor of Isabel Sanford, who starred as Louise Jefferson in the television series The Jeffersons for 11 seasons.

Students will have the opportunity to work with set designers, film editors, writers, stage managers, film and television producers, casting directors, talent managers, and publicity directors at the Los Angeles Center. The scholarship provides students with an opportunity to gain extensive knowledge of the entertainment industry beyond classroom learning.

The Isabel Sanford Los Angeles Scholarship is one of many Emerson Recognition and Achievement (ERA) Awards given each year to outstanding Emerson College students.

The deadline for this scholarship varies each year, and the award amount VARIES.
