Students compete for scholarships by completing an athletic profile on CaptainU. The profile will be viewed by college coaches looking for athletes to join their teams. Profiles must include a list of five or more selected colleges, and two games, camps, tournaments or other athletic events students will be participating in. Students must like CaptainU on Facebook to receive scholarship information and maintain information on Facebook regarding how CaptainU is helping their college recruiting.
Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a four-year, accredited U.S. college or university. Scholarships awarded are sent directly to the school.
The scholarship is sponsored by CaptainU, an online sports recruiting site that helps athletic students connect with college coaches across the country. They also provide assistance to students with scholarships and college admission.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JUNE of each year, and the award amount is usually $2,000.
