Eligible students must currently be enrolled full-time at a U.S. dentistry school. Students must be nominated for the scholarship by the dean of their school. Their nomination will be based on academic record as well as their interest in preventive dentistry as demonstrated through personal activities and achievements.
Up to 12 scholarships are awarded each year. Applications must include a letter from the dean, transcripts, and a letter explaining what activities they have been involved in as well as achievements and accomplishments.
The scholarship is sponsored by the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), a national organization whose mission is to support education and research of preventive dentistry as well as oral health care for the public.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in NOVEMBER of each year, and the award amount is usually $2,500.
