Microsoft 4Afrika Scholarship Program

Microsoft 4Afrika Scholarship Program
Microsoft 4Afrika Scholarship Program offers students from all African countries an opportunity to pursue higher education. Eligible students may choose either an Associate of Science in Business Administration (AS-BA) degree or an Associate of Science in Computer Science (AS-CS) degree.

Students awarded a scholarship attend online classes at University of the People, an American online university. In addition to classes, the program includes mentorship and leadership from experienced Microsoft employees across the globe. The purpose of the program is to help African students attend college and prepare for successful careers.

The program includes even further assistance by offering African students employment opportunities. This is offered in the form of internships, and by working either par-time or full-time for Microsoft or another company who is a Microsoft partner. Microsoft has more than 10,000 partners in Africa.

Eligible students must be at least 18 and high school graduates. The scholarship program takes place at University of the People; however, scholarships will be offered at other institutions in the near future. The number of scholarships being offered by Microsoft is 1,000.

The deadline for this scholarship VARIES each year, and the award amount VARIES.
