TruFit Good Citizen Scholarship

TruFit Good Citizen Scholarship
TruFit Good Citizen Scholarship is open to high school students planning to attend college as well as current college students enrolled in a four-year U.S. accredited college or university. The scholarships are based on students' achievements in giving back to their communities.

The scholarship encourages students to give back to their communities, which is a core value of the scholarship's sponsor, Charter One Bank. Students who apply for the scholarship must write their story about what they have accomplished to make a difference in their communities. Scholarships are awarded according to first, second, and third-place winners with a total of 40 scholarships awarded each year.

The scholarship was established by Charter One Bank to recognize students who believe strongly and are active in giving back to their communities. More than $150,000 in scholarships has been awarded since the program began in 2011.

Charter One is part of RBS Citizens Financial Group, a commercial bank holding company headquartered in Providence, Rhode Island. They operate in 12 states throughout New England, the Mid-Atlantic and the Midwest. Charter One is a leader in volunteerism with employees who volunteer in their communities. The scholarship rewards students who believe in the same values and create programs that help improve the lives of people in their communities.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in APRIL of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000 - $5,000.
