Imagine Cup Games Competition
Microsoft Imagine Cup Games Competition is open to students age 16 and older who have a strong interest in video game design. Students around the world may enter.

The Imagine Cup Games Competition is a global contest for students who want to create the best new desktop or tablet game using Windows, or a mobile game using Windows Phone, or a browser game using Windows Azure. Students may enter alone or as a team. Games must not exceed 500MB in size.

Three rounds of competition will produce a winner. Winners are chosen at the national finals; teams then proceed to the world semifinals, ending with round 3 where teams will be brought at Microsoft’s expense to the World Finals in Seattle where the last round of competition occurs.

The competition is sponsored by Microsoft, a world leader in technology, headquartered in Redmond, Washington. The company develops, manufactures, licenses, supports and sells computer software, consumer electronics and personal computers and services.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in APRIL of each year, and the award amount is usually $50,000.
