The Kaplan University/American Freedom Foundation Scholarship Program is open to high school seniors whose family members are current or prior U.S. military service personnel. The scholarships help students complete an online associate´s or bachelor´s degree at Kaplan University.

A total of 250 partial tuition scholarships are awarded each year to qualified students that cover more than half of the cost for tuition at Kaplan University. In addition, five full scholarships are also awarded; these cover 100 percent of all tuition and fees.
A grade point average of 3.0 or above is required; however, recipients of partial tuition scholarships who maintain a GPA of 3.75 will automatically be considered for a full scholarship. The scholarships are offered on a first-come/first-served basis, so early applications are encouraged.

Students may choose over 40 online associate´s and bachelor´s degree programs. To apply for the scholarship, students may submit an online application. They will need to include grade transcripts, proof of military affiliation, and a cover letter describing their educational and career objectives.

The American Freedom Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring the men and women of America’s armed forces and raising funds that will support Veterans, active duty military personnel and their families. Kaplan University offers both online and campus-based education for undergraduates, graduates and continuing education for professionals.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in OCTOBER of each year, and the award amount VARIES.
