Robert F. Kennedy/AIFS Foundation Scholars Abroad Scholarship Program is open to high school students who have an interest in studying abroad. Eligible students must have a strong interest in social justice.

Minority candidates and students with demonstrated financial need are encouraged to apply. Two high school students will be selected to study abroad at any recognized institution. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or above to apply.

Applicants will be required to complete an essay. The scholarship was established to promote international education among all high school students.

The scholarship is offered through the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights, and the American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS). The Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights was founded in 1968 and is one of the foremost international human rights organizations. The organization works with human rights leaders to bring about a peaceful world. The AIFS is a non-profit organization established in 1967 with the assistance of Senator Robert Kennedy to help young people across many different cultures understand one another.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MARCH of each year, and the award amount is usually $2,500.
