The Cory L. Richards Memorial Scholarship
The Cory L. Richards Memorial Scholarship is open to college students who are seeking advanced degrees in public health or public policy. The scholarship supports full-time graduate study at an accredited institution in the United States.

One student per year will be selected for the scholarship. Applicants are chosen based on academic record, demonstrated leadership, participation in school activities or community service, and demonstrated financial need. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Candidates who are seeking advanced degrees in public health or public policy, and who are pursuing careers in advancing public policy related to sexual and reproductive health and rights are encouraged to apply.

The scholarship is sponsored by The Guttmacher Institute in memory of Cory L. Richards who spent his career in the field of sexual and reproductive health and rights. Cory served as Executive Vice President and Vice President for Public Policy at The Guttmacher Institute for 25 years. Cory died of pancreatic cancer on April 4th at the age of 64.

The Guttmacher Institute is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to research in sexual and reproductive health and rights. Their mission is to maintain and ensure the highest standards of sexual and reproductive health for all people around the world.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MARCH of each year, and the award amount is usually $15,000.
