Five different scholarships are offered. They include Urodynamics scholarship, Neurology scholarship, Clinical scholarship, and Research scholarship. Each scholarship will allow early career practitioners to spend up to one month at an accredited specialist center.
Each year, up to 5 scholarships are awarded in each area. The scholarships give medical students exposure to training and career development opportunities at a center of their choice.
The scholarships are funded by pharmaceutical giant Pfizer and offered through the International Continence Society (ICS), a non-profit organization that focuses on global health. The organization's goal is to improve the quality of life for people affected by urinary, bowel and pelvic disorders by advancing basic and clinical science through education, research, and advocacy.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in APRIL of each year, and the award amount is usually $5,000.
