ASME Auxiliary Lucy and Charles W. E. Clarke Scholarship
ASME Auxiliary Lucy and Charles W. E. Clarke Scholarship is offered to high school seniors who are pursuing a career in engineering. Eligible students must be active in the For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) program.

Students must be nominated by American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) members or other students who are active with FIRST. Scholarships are for the first year of college and are not renewable. Scholarship recipients must attend an accredited Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology program.

All letters of nomination for eligible students must be from someone who can stand by the applicant's technical, creative, and leadership contributions to the FIRST team. Selection is also based on academic performance and financial need.

ASME is a non-profit, membership-based organization that supports the engineering community of professionals through knowledge sharing, career enrichment, and skills development. The organization was formed in 1880 and has more than 140,000 members in 151 countries, of which 30,000 members are students.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MARCH of each year, and the award amount is usually $5,000.
