The Orange Scholars Scholarship Program

The Orange Scholars Scholarship Program
The Orange Scholars Scholarship Program is open to children of Home Depot associates in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Eligible students must have parents who work at The Home Depot. Students can be high school seniors or current college freshmen, sophomores or juniors.

Applicants must plan to attend college full-time as an undergraduate student pursuing a degree. They may choose to attend any accredited non-profit two- or four-year college or university within the U.S., Canada or Mexico.

Parents of the student must have worked at The Home Depot for one year or more and must still be employed at The Home Depot when the scholarship is awarded. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need, academic performance, community involvement and leadership qualities.

The Home Depot, a large retailer of home improvement and construction products and services, has been awarding scholarships since 2006. Since its beginning, the scholarship program has awarded almost $13 million in scholarship funds to over 5,500 children of Home Depot associates in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Home Depot is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. The scholarship is offered through The Home Depot Foundation.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JANUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000 - $2,500.
