AAC’s Behavioral Health Academic Scholarship Program
AAC’s Behavioral Health Academic Scholarship Program offers scholarships for students studying in the fields of behavioral health, counseling, psychology, social work, nursing or other programs that focus on treatment of mental health and/or substance abuse.

Applicants can be high school graduates, or current undergraduate and graduate students. Students can be either part-time or full-time students. To apply, candidates must complete an 800-word essay on why they are interested in a career in behavioral sciences.

Three scholarships will be awarded. First-place, second-place and third-place winners will each receive a scholarship.

The scholarships are sponsored by the American Addiction Centers, a Tennessee-based non-profit organization that focuses on the treatment of drug and alcohol abuse and mental health issues. The organization has treatment centers located in Southern California, Nevada, Texas, Tennessee and Florida.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MAY of each year, and the award amount is usually $2,500 - $5,000.
