Applicants must be pursuing a program in business administration, accounting, or other course of study that would make an impact on the moving and storage industry. All candidates must be sponsored by a moving and storage company, van line, van line agent or supplier to the moving and storage industry.
Applicants can include employees, children, grandchildren, or spouse of an employee of an independent moving and storage company, van line, van line agent, or supplier to the industry. Children, grandchildren or spouse of an independent contractor affiliated with an independent moving and storage company, van line, and/or van line agent may also apply.
The scholarship covers half the program tuition (to be matched by employer). The American Moving & Storage Association is a national trade association for the professional moving industry and is based in the Washington, D.C. The association has awarded nearly $200,000 in scholarships since its beginning.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MARCH of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000 - $5,000.
