The RMHC / HACER Scholarship

The RMHC / HACER Scholarship
The RMHC / HACER Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors who have at least one parent of Hispanic heritage. Eligible students must plan to attend a two- or four-year college, university or technical school full time.

Applicants must have a GPA of at least 2.7 to be eligible for a scholarship. They must also be legal U.S. residents under the age of 21.

All students are eligible to apply regardless of race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability or national origin. One scholarship is awarded each year. Candidates may apply online.

The Hispanic Commitment to Education Resources (HACER) scholarship is awarded through the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), a non-profit organization whose mission is to help children live healthier and happier lives. The organization offers scholarships to students in financial need who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership and involvement in their communities.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JANUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $25,000.
