ExploraVision Science Competition
Eligible students in grades K-12 can enter the competition by submitting a project that explores what technology does. Applicants must work in a group of two, three or four students. Each team must select a technology that is present in the home, school and/or community.
Team projects will focus on explaining the technology, including how it works and how or why it was invented. Winners include 4 team grand prizes, and four team second prizes. Winning teams will receive U.S. savings bonds that can be used for college education.
The competition is sponsored by Toshiba/NSTA ExploraVision, a program that inspires a love of science, technology and innovation among both students and teachers. The program began in 1992 and since its beginning has had more than 350,000 students participate from across the United States and Canada.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in FEBRUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $10,000.
