The Bezos Scholars Program

the_bezos_scholars_program
The Bezos Scholars Program is open to high school juniors who demonstrate leadership in school and in their community. Applicants must be attending public high school and have taken the PSAT/SAT/ACT or ACT Aspire tests.

This scholarship recognizes students who bring energy and excellence to their community and want to create positive changes. The scholars program begins with an all-expenses paid scholarship to attend the Aspen Ideas Festival (AIF), located in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The festival gives students an opportunity to meet notable speakers, participate in roundtable discussions, and meet writers, artists, and entrepreneurs from around the world.

All applicants must be enrolled in or have taken one or more Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB) classes or college level courses. At least 12 scholars are chosen each year.

The Bezos Family Foundation is a private, independent foundation formed by Jackie and Mike Bezos. The foundation's goal is to help all young people prepare to reach their full potential and make a meaningful contribution to their communities.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in FEBRUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000.
