Chicana / Latina Foundation Scholarship Program

Chicana / Latina Foundation Scholarship Program is open to Hispanic women entering or attending an accredited college, university, or community college in one of the 13 or more eligible Northern California counties. Undergraduate and graduate students may apply.

Applicants must have lived in the county for at least two years. All students must be full time. Undergraduate students must have a GPA of 2.5 or above, and graduate students need a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Undergraduate students must also have completed 12 hours of coursework before applying.

Candidates must be female students of Chicana/Latina heritage. More than 30 scholarships are awarded.

The scholarship is offered each year by The Chicana/Latina Foundation (CLF), a non-profit organization which promotes professional and leadership development of Latinas. Through scholarships, coaching programs, skill-building workshops, and leadership programs, The Foundation's mission is to empower Chicanas/Latinas to achieve personal, educational, and professional advancement.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MARCH of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,500.
