Sigma Pi Alpha Sorority Scholarship Fund is open to female high school seniors who will be attending a junior college, vocational school, or a four-year college or university in the fall after high school graduation.

Applicants must be female and have a GPA of 2.5 or above. Candidates do not need to be U.S. citizens or permanent residents in order to apply. Ten scholarships will be awarded.

To apply, applicants must submit a completed application along with two letters of recommendation, one official transcript, a three-page personal statement of achievements, qualities, personal goals, academic plans and career goals. Information on financial need should also be included.

Sigma Pi Alpha Sorority was founded in 1996 at the University of California, Berkeley, as a Chicana/Latina sorority that emphasizes community service, campus involvement and sisterhood. The Sigma Pi Alpha Sorority Scholarship Fund was established to award women with scholarships who excel in academics as well as support of their communities.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in APRIL of each year, and the award amount is usually $500.
