Eligible students must have attended a high school in Silicon Valley, California and have a GPA of 3.5 or above. To apply, students must submit a completed application, along with a high school transcript of grades, and two letters of reference. Applicants who are selected to receive an award must be able to attend the PPBS Scholarship Awards Dinner-Dance Event where candidates will receive their awards.
Applicants will be judged according to their scholastic records, volunteer service in their community, school service-related activities, and overall evidence of scholarship ability.
The Philippine Professional and Business Society was organized in 1962 to encourage interest in government and civic activities among both youth and adults, help elderly Filipinos and Filipino Americans residing in Santa Clara County, and to develop among youth an interest in supporting their communities.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JUNE of each year, and the award amount is usually $4,000.
