The scholarship is offered by The North Dakota University system that includes 11 public institutions in North Dakota including two research universities, four regional universities and five community colleges. The institutions offer educational opportunities from certificate programs to doctoral degrees.

The deadline for this scholarship VARIES each year, and the award amount is usually $8,000.
