Pride Foundation Scholarships

Pride Foundation Scholarships are available to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, straights who are supportive of LGBT issues, and students from LGBT families. Students must be residents of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon or Washington but may study anywhere.

Applicants must be high school seniors who are currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, trade, vocational or certificate programs or planning to enroll in the next school year. High school freshman, sophomores or juniors are not eligible.

Applicants must also demonstrate a commitment to social justice. They must also have financial need, and have leadership potential either within the LGBTQ community and/or within their field of study. The Pride Foundation offers more than 50 different scholarships; only one application is needed to apply.

The Pride Foundation is an LGBT philanthropic foundation located in the Pacific Northwest. It was founded in 1985, and since 1993, it has issued over $8 million in grants and over $1.65 million to more than 50 scholarships.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JANUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $10,000.
