The annual contest is open to legal residents of the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec) who are or will be full-time students in the Fall semester at an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada (including Quebec). Students may study any major that is recognized by the school. One student will be selected as the winner; the scholarship will be paid to the attending school to cover tuition and/or housing.
Submissions are judged according to creativity, uniqueness, how well it relates to the theme, and technical competence. Entries are online only; there is one submission per person allowed. The scholarship competition opens every May and closes every September.
