YoungArts Scholarship

YoungArts Scholarship
YoungArts Scholarship is open to student artists in film, design, music, dance, photography, visual arts, theater, and writing. Emerging artists ages 15–18 or in grades 10–12 from across the United States may apply.

YoungArts Winners receive not only financial awards but support and professional development and mentoring from world-renowned performers, including Mikhail Baryshnikov, Sarah Brightman, Plácido Domingo, Frank Gehry, Jeff Koons, Wynton Marsalis, Rebecca Walker and Carrie Mae Weems.
In addition, YoungArts Winners are eligible for nomination as a U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts, one of the nation’s highest honors for outstanding high school students who excel in both academics and artistic performance.

Students may apply to more than one discipline. Application to YoungArts is made by completing an online application that includes the submission of an audition or portfolio. Scholarship money is unrestricted, meaning it may be used to help pay for college, art school, a conservatory program, or anything else.

The National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) was established in 1981 by Lin and Ted Arison and is headquartered in Miami, Florida. The organization has produced many alumni who have become leaders in their fields, such as actress Viola Davis, recording artist Josh Groban, and countless broadway stars, musicians, directors, filmmakers, and others.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in OCTOBER of each year, and the award amount is usually $10,000.
