The SAWF Scholarship Program
The SAWF Scholarship Program is open to women enrolled or who plan to enroll in a STEM related field, such as science, technology, engineering, or math, or an automotive field. Female high school seniors or graduates from specific southern states may apply.

Eligible states include: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Texas or West Virginia. Applicants may attend an accredited two-year technical program, four-year undergraduate program, or graduate program. GPA requirements are 2.5 cumulative, and 3.0 in major. Eligible students may attend college part-time or full-time.
Applications must be sent by mail. It must be accompanied by a resume, grade transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and a completed essay.

Southern Automotive Women's Forum (SAWF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the personal and professional advancement of women in the automotive industry. Scholarships are awarded to young women of all ages who are interested in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) with the hope that they will apply these skills to the automotive industry.

Since the introduction of the Scholarship Program in August 2010, SAWF has provided over $200,000 in scholarship awards to deserving young women interested in careers in the automotive industry.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in DECEMBER of each year, and the award amount is usually $500 - $5,000.
