Alice L. Haltom Educational Fund provides scholarships to students interested in careers in the field of information and records management. It is open to students in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Students may pursue either a two-year, four-year or graduate study program. Applicants may be enrolled full-time or part-time in an accredited college or university. Fields of study may include health information management and technology, or library and information sciences.

The scholarship is sponsored by the Alice L. Haltom Educational Fund. Alice L. Haltom was an employee of Tenneco, Inc. in Houston, Texas with expertise in corporate records management. She often donated her time to work with schools, colleges, businesses and the government to promote the field of records and information management. She was a charter member of the Houston Chapter of ARMA and a CRM (Certified Records Manager).

ARMA is a national, non-profit organization serving 10,000 members since 1955 with education, industry trends and information on managing records and information. ARMA is the publisher of Information Management magazine serving professionals in the field of information management.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MAY of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000 - $2,000.
