Blacks at Microsoft (BAM) African American Heritage Scholarships
Blacks at Microsoft (BAM) African American Heritage Scholarships are offered to outstanding black high-school seniors who are interested in pursuing careers in technology. High-school seniors of African descent may apply (for example, African American, Caribbean, African, etc).

Applicants must plan to pursue a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, computer information systems, or a business program such as finance, business administration, or marketing. Students must have a GPA of 3.3 or above and demonstrate financial need. Two scholarships are awarded. Scholarships are renewable up to four years of college.

Chevron Creates $1 Million Fund For Scholarships to Low Income Students
Students from low income families in the San Francisco Bay Area may now have a greater educational opportunity, thanks for a $1 million fund created by Chevron Corp. The fund, called BASIC Fund, was designed to help defray the cost of tuition at private schools for low income students in the Bay Area.

The non-profit fund was created by Chevron Chairman and CEO John Watson who is retiring after 37 years of service with the company. The fund gives scholarships to students in low-income families who fall within established guidelines. It is a four-year scholarship for students entering private school for the first time, including Kindergarten through the eighth (K-8th) grade.

University Women’s Foundation of Jefferson County (UWF) Scholarship

The University Women’s Foundation of Jefferson County, an affiliate of the American Association of University Women, is offering scholarships to women from East Jefferson County. It aims to assist women who want to pursue their college education. Winners will be selected based on academic excellence, financial need, and educational goals.

Five different scholarships are available. Each scholarship has different requirements. It includes:

Vancouver USA Singers Scholarship

Vancouver USA Singers Scholarship is open to high school students (public, private, or homeschool) wanting to pursue their vocal studies. Applicants must be enrolled in Clark County or its neighboring counties such as Skamania, Cowlitz, Columbia, or Multnomah.

Each applicant must have to prepare a piece from the genre of either classical, opera, or Broadway theater. They must submit an MP3 or MP4 recording together with their application. Some applicants will be selected for an audition and will perform before a panel of judges on a scheduled date.

The Mary Doctor Performing Arts Scholarship Fund

The Mary Doctor Performing Arts Scholarship Fund
The Mary Doctor Performing Arts Scholarship Fund is for students pursuing a degree in the performing arts, such as music, dance, and theater. Applicants must be high school seniors who reside in the Charlotte, NC region.

Candidates must demonstrate high academic ability and have financial need. They must also plan to pursue an undergraduate degree in a discipline related to the performing arts. Examples of acceptable fields include music, dance, theater, technical theater, arts administration and teaching. They must be accepted by a university or college with an established performing arts program.

Jeanette Rankin Women's Scholarship Fund For Low Income Women

The Jeannette Rankin Women's Scholarship Fund awards scholarships every year to low-income women who are 35 years of age or older. Named after Jeannette Rankin, the first woman elected to Congress, the fund has awarded over $1.8 million in scholarships to over 700 women since 1978.

Aiming to assist women who have a vision of how their education will benefit themselves, their families and their communities, the fund requires applicants to be in an undergraduate or vocational training program. In addition, applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the United States, and must meet the maximum net household income guidelines.

Matthews & Swift Educational Trust Scholarships are open to children of a member of the Knights of Columbus who were killed while serving in the military, or a police officer or firefighter killed in the line of duty. Recipient must attend a Catholic college.

Children can include natural or adopted children of the deceased member who were born within nine months after the member died or, in the case of adoption, were adopted by the member before they suffered the fatal injury, or in the case of a member in the military, before they suffered the permanently and totally disabling injury.

The Fontana Transport Inc. Scholars Program is open to underrepresented, low-income and first-generation college-bound students.

Candidates must be pursuing a full time undergraduate degree at any accredited 4 year college or university.

Aziz Jamaluddin Scholarship

Aziz Jamaluddin Scholarship
Aziz Jamaluddin Scholarship is open to Muslin students pursuing degrees in journalism or political science. Ten scholarships are awarded every year.

The scholarship is possible through a family fund that was established to support five students each year throughout their education in the fields of Journalism and Political Science. Applicants must have a minimum 3.5 GPA, demonstrated financial need, and major in Journalism or Political science at an accredited U.S. institution. All applicants must be American citizens or permanent residents.

The Cargill Global Scholars Program

The Cargill Global Scholars Program is open to first- or second-year university students who have excellent academic records. Students from the U.S., Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, and Russia may apply.

Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need, who are from a disadvantaged or underrepresented group within their country, and to those who specialize in fields of study that are considered preferred fields in their country.

The Gerald and Dorothy Erich Endowment Fund Scholarship

The Gerald and Dorothy Erich Endowment Fund Scholarship is open to seniors and graduates (within one year of graduation) from San Jose, California. Applicants must be seniors or graduates from the Eastside Union High School District.

Candidates must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and plan to attend a two-year program at a community college or trade school after completing high school. They must also demonstrate financial need. Ideal candidates should also have a history of extracurricular activities.

The Future Is Female Scholarship

The Future Is Female Scholarship is open to all females who are pursuing their educational goals. Candidates may major in any field of their choice.

Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or above and be a U.S. citizen or resident. The scholarship may be used for any course of study, whether it's Coding, Design, Marketing, Research, Film or any other major. The award includes a scholarship, plus True&Co. Brand products.

The Hood Milk Sportsmanship Scholarship

The Hood Milk Sportsmanship Scholarship is open to high school student athletes across the New England states. Eligible students must excel both in academics as well as a varsity sport.

Applicants must be attending a high school in the New England states, including Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. Three students from each state will be selected to receive scholarships, for a total of 18 scholarships.

CAC Educational Scholarship Foundation

CAC Educational Scholarship Foundation offers scholarships to outstanding high school seniors attending high schools in California. CACESF awards a total of 3 scholarships each year.

Students may apply for a scholarship by completing a one-page application and an essay on "The Importance of Establishing and Maintaining Good Financial Credit During Your College Years." Essay topics may change yearly. The scholarship is available to any California high school senior, and they may use the scholarship at any accredited college, university, or trade school.

NCCBF Scholarship Program

NCCBF Scholarship Program is open to graduating seniors of Japanese American descent. Applicants must be attending an accredited high school in Northern California.

Candidates must have a grade point average of 2.5 and be actively involved in their local community. Two scholarships are awarded every year; scholarships are based on academic achievement, commitment to community, written essays, and personal character.

NANBPWC Scholarships For African American Females

NANBPWC Scholarships For African American Females offers four different scholarships for outstanding females of African American descent. Each scholarship is merit based and requires completion of an essay.

The Dr. Julianne Malveaux Scholarship - open to African American females who are college sophomores or juniors. Candidates must submit a 1000 word essay on the topic: Your Career Plans and Their Relevance to the Dr. Julianne Malveaux program theme: Black Women's Hands Can Rock The World."

Marion Huber Learning Through Listening Awards

Marion Huber Learning Through Listening Awards gives scholarships to 6 high school students each year who have learning disabilities. Candidates must be graduating members of a public, private, or home school in the United States or its territories, including U.S. military installations.

Applicants must have a learning disability that is defined as a neurological disorder that affects a person’s ability to receive, process, store and/or respond to information, and which affects the person’s ability to read standard print. Candidates may use scholarships at either a two- or four-year college or vocational school.

Worgul Law Firm Scholarship Program

Worgul Law Firm Scholarship Program is open to students who are accepted to or currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate college, university, or graduate school in the United States. The scholarship is open to any major.

Candidates must have a GPA of 3.0 or above in order to apply. They must also be able to demonstrate a history of outstanding service to the community, a passion for furthering their education, and a strong academic performance. One scholarship will be awarded to a deserving student.

Oracle Corporate Scholars Program For African American Students is open to African-American/Black college sophomores and juniors. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and have attended a high school in the U.S.

Applicants must be African Americans majoring in the following fields: Accounting, Business, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Human Resources, Information Management Systems, Management Information Systems, Marketing, Software Development. They must also have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

West Virginia Engineering, Science and Technology Scholarship Program

West Virginia Engineering, Science and Technology Scholarship Program is open to students in West Virginia who are interested in obtaining a degree or certificate in engineering, science or technology and committed to the pursuit of a career in West Virginia.

Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above and be enrolled or accepted in an engineering, science, or technology program leading to a certificate or an associate or bachelors degree at an eligible institution of higher education. Candidates must also agree to work full-time in West Virginia in an engineering, science or technology field for one year for each year the scholarship was received.
