The Gerald and Dorothy Erich Endowment Fund Scholarship is open to seniors and graduates (within one year of graduation) from San Jose, California. Applicants must be seniors or graduates from the Eastside Union High School District.

Candidates must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and plan to attend a two-year program at a community college or trade school after completing high school. They must also demonstrate financial need. Ideal candidates should also have a history of extracurricular activities.

To apply, students must complete an application and also include a transcript of grades, two recommendations from teachers, and a description of their extracurricular activities.

The scholarship is offered through an endowment fund from Jerry and Dorothy Erich, long-time owners of Erich Printing and Lithographing in San Jose, California. The couple has helped many students start their careers and want to continue helping worthy high school graduates attain their degrees. The scholarship covers two years of schooling.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MARCH of each year, and the award amount is usually $4,000.
