The SAWF Scholarship Program

The SAWF Scholarship Program is open to women enrolled or who plan to enroll in a STEM related field, such as science, technology, engineering, or math, or an automotive field. Female high school seniors or graduates from specific southern states may apply.

Eligible states include: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Texas or West Virginia. Applicants may attend an accredited two-year technical program, four-year undergraduate program, or graduate program. GPA requirements are 2.5 cumulative, and 3.0 in major. Eligible students may attend college part-time or full-time.

Miss America Foundation Scholarship Fund

The Miss America Scholarship Fund offers scholarships to over 12,000 young women who compete in the state and local competitions as well as Miss America first place winner, four runners-up, semi-finalists and non-finalists.

Since 1945, the Miss America Organization, a not-for-profit organization, has recognized young women not just for beauty but also talent and intelligence. Scholarships have been an important part of the awards that have helped many young women pay for college and prepare for rewarding careers.

Women Techmakers Scholars Program (by Google)

Women Techmakers Scholars Program is open to women who are studying computer science, computer engineering or a closely related technical field. Applicants must be currently enrolled in or accepted as a full-time student.

Candidates include those pursuing a Bachelors, Masters or PhD program at a university in the United States or Canada. They must have strong academic records, leadership skills, and a passion for increasing the involvement of women in computer science.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z Scholarship Program

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter have announcd a new scholarship program that will award one exceptional senior high school student, with financial needs, up to $100K in funds to put toward their enrollment in a college or university for the upcoming academic year. The award will serve as a dedicated university-based fund for each selected student throughout the duration of the student's enrollment.

This back to school season, students in OTRll Tour markets, who are preparing for college, will be chosen by Boys and Girls Club of America. Qualified students must demonstrate academic excellence and show financial needs that would make it hard for them to enter a college or university for the academic year.

Little Miss African American Scholarship Pageant

Little Miss African American Scholarship Pageant (LMAA), founded in 1993 by Lisa Ruffin, is based on the idea that young people must begin with a strong foundation. They believe that each of our girls possesses the promise of unlimited possibilities. In partnership with supportive parents and sponsors, they offer the LMAA pageant as a vehicle to develop their potential.

This educational program is dedicated to empowering young ladies between the ages of six through 12 with a CAP - Confidence, Awareness and Pride - to prepare them to be the leaders of tomorrow. LMAA uses a pageant format to provide girls with an early introduction to the arts and a heightened cultural understanding.

National Hook-up of Black Women Scholarships

National Hook-up of Black Women (NHBW) Scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors who plan to enroll in an accredited college or university in the fall after graduation.

Two different scholarships are available. Candidates must have a GPA of 2.75 or above, and be involved in school and community activities; they must be able to demonstrated at least 100 hours of community service.

NFRW's Betty Rendel Scholarship

Betty Rendel Scholarship awards go to three female undergraduates each year who are attending a four-year accredited college or university and majoring in political science, government or economics. It is open to women across the nation.

Applicants must have completed at least two years of college before applying for the scholarship. Students must be interested in national government, politics and economics. When applying, they should be prepared to describe their level of interest in political and civic activities and what activities they have participated in.

AWG Minority Scholarship Program For Women

The AWG Minority Scholarship program encourages young minority women to pursue courses of education and careers in the field of geosciences. The program, not only provides financial aid to assist with tuition and book, but also matches students with mentors who can offer guidance and support.

Funded by the Association for Women Geoscientists (AWG), an international organization devoted to enhancing the quality and level of participation of women in geosciences, the program requires that all applicants to this scholarship are women who are either African-American, Hispanic, or Native American.

Beyonce's Homecoming Scholars Award Program

Beyoncé, through her BeyGOOD initiative, has established the Homecoming Scholars Award Program for students attending Xavier University, Wilberforce University, Tuskegee University and Bethune-Cookman University - all Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

Beyoncé announced the program when she made history at the 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival by becoming the first Black woman to headline in the festival's 19-year run.

Joe Francis Haircare Scholarship

The Joe Francis Haircare Scholarship is named after Joe Francis (1933-1994), the founder of The Barbers Corporation, Cost Cutters, City Looks Salons, We Care Hair, now Regis Corporation subsidiaries.

Francis was known as a quintessential self-made man who always looked for ways to help others find opportunities in the salon business, and so The Joe Francis Haircare Scholarship Foundation was established in 1994 to memorialize his life and achievements.

Kraft General Foods Scholarship

Kraft General Foods Scholarship is for female high school seniors through college seniors who are interested in careers in skilled trades or manufacturing technology. Applicants must be women and/or minorities who reside in Michigan.

Applicants must be pursuing careers in the construction trades, science technologies, engineering-related fields, and mechanic and repair technologies. The scholarship is for residents of Calhoun County, Michigan, who are interested in skilled trades or manufacturing technology careers. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be women and/or minorities.

Executive Women International Scholarship Program

Executive Women International Scholarship Program offers scholarships to both male and female outstanding high school seniors who plan to pursue a four-year college degree program. Scholarships are based on academics, extracurricular activities, leadership and communication skills.

Students must be U.S. citizens, high school seniors, and entering college as full-time students. The purpose of the scholarship is to support the higher education goals of outstanding students who will be leaders of the future.

Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) Diversity Scholarships

To encourage greater diversity amongst its developer community, Apple is offering scholarships to provide students and developers the opportunity to attend their annual Worldwide Developers Conference which is usually held in San Francisco, California.

The scholarships are open to students and members or alumni of the STEM organizations Apple has selected, and are available to those over the age of 13. In addition, unlike regular WWDC attendees, these scholarship recipients won’t have to be a member of one of Apple’s paid developer programs. However, interested student developers will have to do more than just submit an application.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Scholarships

Alpha Kappa Alpha Scholarships are open to full-time college sophomores or above. Applicants must be attending an accredited college or university and working towards a degree.

Three different scholarships are offered. The Merit Scholarship is for college sophomores or above who have a minimum GPA of 3.0 ("B" average) and a record of community service and involvement. The Financial Need Scholarship is open to college sophomores or above who can demonstrate financial need. Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or above and a record of community involvement.

University Women’s Foundation of Jefferson County (UWF) Scholarship

The University Women’s Foundation of Jefferson County, an affiliate of the American Association of University Women, is offering scholarships to women from East Jefferson County. It aims to assist women who want to pursue their college education. Winners will be selected based on academic excellence, financial need, and educational goals.

Jeanette Rankin Women's Scholarship Fund For Low Income Women

The Jeannette Rankin Women's Scholarship Fund awards scholarships every year to low-income women who are 35 years of age or older. Named after Jeannette Rankin, the first woman elected to Congress, the fund has awarded over $1.8 million in scholarships to over 700 women since 1978.

Aiming to assist women who have a vision of how their education will benefit themselves, their families and their communities, the fund requires applicants to be in an undergraduate or vocational training program. In addition, applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the United States, and must meet the maximum net household income guidelines.

BHW Scholarship For Women

BHW Scholarship For Women is open to women who are pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). One scholarship is awarded every year to a deserving female student.

Applicants may apply by submitting a photo and completing a 500-800 word essay on either their favorite app, or an essay about a time an app played a significant role in improving their day. Applications open in January each year, close in April, and the winner is announced on May 1st.

Carole Simpson Scholarship

Carole Simpson Scholarship was established to help minority students overcome obstacles in their career path in electronic journalism. The scholarship is open to college students who will be sophomores, juniors or seniors and are pursuing careers in radio, television, or digital journalism.

Applicants must be full-time students enrolled in an accredited college or university and be in good standing at their institution. Their application must include a cover letter that describes their current and past journalism experience, why they chose a career in journalism, and how they intend to use their scholarship funds.

The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation Scholarship for the Advancement of Women in Sports & Entertainment

The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation Scholarship for the Advancement of Women in Sports & Entertainment is open to women pursuing a degree in Communication Studies, Marketing, Public Relations, Media Studies or Journalism. Undergraduate and graduate school women may apply.

Candidates must be females residing in the U.S. and enrolled full time at a four-year accredited university. Eligible fields of study include Public Relations, Communication, Media Studies, Marketing or Journalism major with a desire to work in the entertainment or sports industry. Applicants must also be able to demonstrate financial need.

Patsy Takemoto Mink Education Foundation Support Awards For Low Income Women and Children

Patsy Takemoto Mink Education Foundation Support Awards offers five education awards each year to assist low-income women with children who are pursuing education or training. Candidates are chosen based on financial need, vocation/occupational goals, personal circumstance, educational path and service or civic goals.

Candidates must be females 17 years or older, a mother with minor children, and must be low-income. For example, for a family of two, the annual family income must be less than $20,000. In addition, applicants must be pursuing a vocational degree/certificate, an associates degree, a first bachelor's degree, or a professional/master's/doctoral degree.
