University Women’s Foundation of Jefferson County (UWF) Scholarship

The University Women’s Foundation of Jefferson County, an affiliate of the American Association of University Women, is offering scholarships to women from East Jefferson County. It aims to assist women who want to pursue their college education. Winners will be selected based on academic excellence, financial need, and educational goals.

Five different scholarships are available. Each scholarship has different requirements. It includes:
  1. Elmira K. Beyer Endowed Scholarship - awarded to a deserving East Jefferson County woman who completed at least one year of university study and wishes to continue her education.
  2. 70th Anniversary of AAUW in PT - awarded to two girls who are high school graduates who plan to pursue or continue her college education. It is given in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Port Townsend branch of AAUW.
  3. UWF Environmental Scholarship - awarded to a woman who plans to study environmental science with an interest in climate change.
  4. Lisa T. Painter Endowed Scholarship - awarded to a woman who plans to study law, fine arts or medicine/health care disciplines.
  5. In Memory of Constance Anna Pash - awarded to a woman in college pursuing a STEM degree with an emphasis on math.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MARCH of each year, and the award amount is usually from $2,500 to $11,000.
