The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation Scholarship for the Advancement of Women in Sports & Entertainment
The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation Scholarship for the Advancement of Women in Sports & Entertainment is open to women pursuing a degree in Communication Studies, Marketing, Public Relations, Media Studies or Journalism. Undergraduate and graduate school women may apply.

Candidates must be females residing in the U.S. and enrolled full time at a four-year accredited university. Eligible fields of study include Public Relations, Communication, Media Studies, Marketing or Journalism major with a desire to work in the entertainment or sports industry. Applicants must also be able to demonstrate financial need.

Scholarship recipients may use scholarship money on tuition, fees, and/or supplies. Four scholarships are awarded every year to eligible students in their undergraduate sophomore, junior, senior or first year of graduate school. A minimum GPA of 2.75 is required.

The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation was established by Floyd Mayweather Jr., a prizefighter and 12-time world champion. He started his foundation in 2007 to promote the social development and advancement of adults and adolescents. Mayweather has been director and founder of the foundation since it began in 2007, acting as spokesperson, and facilitating fundraising opportunities for the organization.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JUNE of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000.
