Vancouver USA Singers Scholarship

Vancouver USA Singers Scholarship is open to high school students (public, private, or homeschool) wanting to pursue their vocal studies. Applicants must be enrolled in Clark County or its neighboring counties such as Skamania, Cowlitz, Columbia, or Multnomah.

Each applicant must have to prepare a piece from the genre of either classical, opera, or Broadway theater. They must submit an MP3 or MP4 recording together with their application. Some applicants will be selected for an audition and will perform before a panel of judges on a scheduled date.

The winning applicant will be awarded $1,000 to further vocal studies. Besides that, the chosen winner will be performing as a guest in two of the group's concerts.

Based in Vancouver, Washington, the Vancouver USA Singers is a volunteer mixed-voice chorus that includes all walks of life. Established in the 1960's as The Brahms Singers, the choir, under the direction of Jana Hart, carries a roll call over 90 voices strong.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MARCH of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000.
