Brown and Caldwell Minority Scholarships are available to college students majoring in engineering who are minorities. Eligible students must be African American, Hispanic, Asian or Pacific American or Alaska Native. Applicants must be full-time college students in at least their junior year, or attending graduate school, with a grade point average of 3.0 or above. Their declared major must be in engineering and can include chemical or environmental engineering, biology, geology, hydrogeology, or ecology. They must be U.S. citizens or full-time U.S. residents.
The scholarship is offered by Brown and Caldwell, an engineering consulting firm established in 1947 with offices in 30 U.S. states. Their engineering services provide environmentally safe and cost effective solutions to cities, private organizations and government agencies across the U.S.
The purpose of the scholarship is to support diversity in the workplace by providing educational opportunities for minority college students in the field of engineering.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in APRIL of each year, and the award amount is usually $3,000.
