Capture The Dream ScholarshipsCapture The Dream Scholarships were created to help low-income students in California attend college. The scholarships are for undergraduate only. Two different scholarships are offered.

The George Geng On Lee Minorities in Leadership Scholarship is for low-income minority students planning to attend a four-year college full-time. The Single Parent Scholarship is for low-income single parents planning to attend either full- or part-time a two-year or four-year college or university.

All applicants must currently be residing in the state of California and demonstrate financial need. In addition to the application, students must complete an essay of 1,000 words or less in which they indicate why they should be selected for a scholarship. The essay should also include information about their future career goals.

Capture The Dream is a non-profit organization founded in 2006 by Janine Lee in Oakland, California. Their goal is to provide financial support to low-income individuals in California who want to attend college and reach their career goals.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JULY of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000.
