Students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents, planning to attend or already attending a college in the U.S., and who have a grade point average of 3.0 or above may apply. They can attend either part-time or full-time in order to be eligible.
Eligible students may submit an application, along with a letter from their physician documenting their heart illness or defect. In addition, they will need to complete an essay of 500 - 2,000 words describing the obstacles they have experienced due to their condition.
