The BlackBerry® Scholars Program For Women

The BlackBerry® Scholars Program
The BlackBerry® Scholars Program is for freshman women studying science, technology, engineering or math in college. The scholarship is specifically for women entering their first year of college and pursuing a career in mobile computing.

This is a four-year, global scholarship program for female students age 18 and older. U.S. and international female students may apply. To apply, students must submit a completed application, answer an essay question, and include two letters of recommendation. On letter must be from a teacher or academic advisor; the other may be from an employer, coach or other non-related reference.

Students must also supply proof of acceptance into a four-year, accredited college or university. Up to 10 students will be awarded a scholarship. The scholarship covers tuition only and does not include room and board, books, fees or other expenses.

The scholarship is offered by Blackberry, a global leader in the production of wireless products and mobile devices. The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage more women to enter technical fields such as science, technology, engineering and math.
