Eligible students must be enrolled in a health science education program and planning to attend a four-year college or community college. Applications will be judged on academic ability as well as activities in HOSA and community and volunteer work.
To apply, students must complete an application, include three references, and complete an essay explaining how they have benefited from HOSA and how their association with HOSA will help them with their career goals.
The scholarships are sponsored by Health Occupations Students of America, a non-profit organization founded in 1976. The organization is a national student organization endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education Division of Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE). Its purpose is to support students and adults pursuing careers in the health care industry.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in APRIL of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000 - $7,000.
